I know things have gotten a little hung up, and you guys have been so patient! But I'm finally able to reveal this to you! I was going to do a bigger cover reveal thing, but I wanted to do this a little early for all of you who have been asking about it!

This is the cover for Blood of Eirny, the second book in Chronicles of Eirny! It was designed by my amazing man-bestie, Kenneth! Make sure to tell him what an amazing job he did!

Life Changes and Junk

So, I've been a bit silent on here for a while. I'm still working on several projects, that I can't wait to share with you ... when they're ready.

However, the biggest reason I've been away is that I've had some health problems that I have had to attend to. I'm slowly but surely getting back to where I need to be, but it's going to be a long road ahead. I just needed a little "me" time.

Catching up

So, I haven't been on here lately. Why? Well, there hasn't been much to tell. I've been doing a few projects for some amazing friends. I haven't even touched any of my own books in a couple weeks. I'm fixing that tonight, though. I'm missing my characters dearly.

If you haven't noticed from the book progress bars on the right side of this page, I have officially changed the name of Madeline's book from The Promised to Undertaken. I haven't finished it yet, but I do have an amazing friend working on her cover. From the progress he's made so far, it's going to be beautiful! I can't wait!

I'm currently trying to figure out what I want to do with the Blood of Eirny cover. It's always the hardest thing to do. Trying to figure out a cover. There's so much pressure in it. I have a feeling that when I figure it out, though, look out! It will be perfect! At least, I hope it will be.

I MIGHT be working on a project with another friend and fellow author soon. We've discussed it, and it sounds awesome! If that happens, I'll update you as soon as I can!

I wish I had more to say, but I really haven't been up to much book-wise. I haven't even had a reading day in a couple weeks. :-/

Purgatory Reign by LM Preston

I'm not sure where to begin! I adored this book! It had everything I look for! I was blessed to be given an ARC copy for review, and I have to say, it makes me a bit sad that a lot of people couldn't read this book yet. Yes! It was that good!

When a girl dies in his arms, Peter Saints's life is really thrown through a loop. He is immediately sent on a journey that seems a bit impossible, but he is strong and determined.

Peter might be young, but he has a past that makes him seem so much older. People seem to die all around him, and like anyone else would, he fully blames himself for it. He's a bit jaded and can be a bit of a jerk at times, but you know what? I probably would be too if I were in his shoes. The best way to keep people from falling into the death trap that seems to surround you would be to scare them the heck away! The important thing is that we always know that underneath all the anger, fear, and pain, he is a great guy and a fascinating character. 

Along the way, he meets a few friends, and many, MANY foes. His friends, while weak in some ways, have definite strengths, both in their actions in the book and as characters from a reader's standpoint. They are realistic enough that I could even see pieces of them in my own friends. They pull him through even though toughest scrapes. Most importantly, they both teach him things about himself and everything around him. When I pick up a book of any kind, I'm all about the life lessons! I look for these! I truly enjoyed the development of Peter's character once his friends were brought into the picture.

The world that LM Preston created is terrifying! Why? Because it's just like ours. I'm probably going to be looking at people a bit funny for a week, wondering if there's a creepy demon riding on their shoulders.

I particularly enjoyed learning about the secret societies. They were well-thought out and well-rounded. I was given enough information to not be completely lost, but not so much that I'm not genuinely curious. I finished the book hours ago, and I already want to know more.

I truly enjoyed this story. It has everything. Action that kept me on the edge of my seat, love that I found believably flawed and yet beautiful at the same time, loss that really tore at my heart, lessons that keep me thinking after I put it down, friendships that only added to the character development, and tons of intriguing paranormal story line woven in to keep me wanting more. I seriously can't wait until the next one! The wait is going to be torture!

Bliss Acne Repair

So I know I usually do book reviews and stuff. But I wanted to do a review of another kind, today.

A friend of mine was looking for people to test her acne cream that she made. I'll admit that I'm almost 30 and still break out like a high schooler. So, if you have the same problem that I do, let me tell you about this awesome stuff.

It's called Bliss Acne Repair. If you didn't notice in the link, that's my face in the pictures. Put that stuff on your broken out face at night, and everything will be WAY smaller the next morning, if not gone.

You should definitely try this stuff. It smells AMAZING. It's not greasy. Put it on overnight. Wash it off the next morning. SUPER easy!
